Sun Peaks is one of North America's premier mountain resort destinations. In 2008, Sun Peaks was named second best ski resort in Canada and tenth in North America, by the Condé Nast Traveller Read Poll.
In 2006, the second phase of a four phase development plan began. The resort will eventually see four mountains, a second village area, a recreation centre and additional chairlifts. Sun Peaks' profile rivals other destinations resorts in North America and around the world, comparable to Whistler, Banff, Jasper and Mont Tremblant.
