SIA instructors methodology accompany the youngest in their learning to ski year after year. From snowplough to first tricks, progress is always rewarded with iconic medals. The children are divided into groups of a similar level.
Between teenagers, the adventure is within reach of a spatula. Everything is designed for their pleasure and their need for freedom in complete safety. Divided by level, the teens enjoy the joys and sensations of the mountain under the watchful eye of the instructor.
Adult & Children’s lessons
SB Beginner: You never ridden before
SB 1: You are comfortable with ‘floating leaf’ and can link C-turns on beginner terrain in both directions.
SB 2: You can ride the chairlift and ride Green runs comfortably but would like more confidence. You may have tried to ride some easy BLUE / RED terrain before.
SB 3: Able to ride blue / red runs with confidence.
SB 4: Able to ride black runs with confidence.
Get ready to experience the interactive rock climbing platform, the first of its kind in Club Med. This active-play technology enables 2 guests to play against each other at any one time. Follow the bouldering routes projected on the wall, and be introduced to a world of fun.
A course for every level of skill. From ski learning to slalom, the instructor will give you technical advice and help you explore the ski area. You’ll be in a group with a similar skill level, so you can enjoy the mountains and skiing to the full.
Located just in front of the Resort, try the moving walkway that takes adult beginner skiers to the top of the training slope. Facilitated by our Club Med instructors, enjoy an exciting and safe experience with the Magic Carpet where first-time skiers can make rapid progress.
This racket sport for singles or doubles play is a great way to relax or get a workout. Try to maximise your volleys as you strike the shuttlecock, hitting deep shots and running and leaping to return it: the idea is to score. And to have fun!
Keeping your eyes on the little black ball will make your head spin and help you wind down. Take turns hitting it into the wall, catch it on the rebound, run and keep your partner on the move. With a bit of luck, the ball will be back in your court.
Choose singles or doubles, smash contests or a relay where everyone takes a turn with a paddle. Open up to the possibilities of the game and enjoy yourself. The noise of the tiny bouncing ball is a great beat to accompany your games with family or friends.
Share great times, both during the day and on into the evening. Live music, DJ sets, local entertainment, dance, circus and magic happenings: surprising and varied artistic performances for everyone to enjoy. Immerse yourself in authentic Japanese culture suitable for all ages in this half day tour. Start your day with a snowshoe trek to the scenic Kasumi Waterfall, followed by lunch and an onsen experience at Tomuraushi Onsen.
Perfect for beginners to snow, airboards are air inflated sleds that do note require lessons. Get up close and personal with the Sahoro ski area as you cruise down the slopes easily and manoeuvre to the finish line.
Accessible to all levels, take advantage of personal advice from qualified G.O® to progress quickly, whether you would like normal ski lessons, free style lessons or off-piste lessons.

The availability of ski instructors for private lessons on any given day vary depending on guest’s demand. While Club Med Resort has one of the highest number of ski instructors for any resort in Hokkaido, we do regret instances where demand for private lessons overwhelm our ability to cater for every request.
