Steeped in history, explore Palermo and its popular neighbourhoods, colourful markets, churches with esoteric messages and numerous palaces. Take a trip to Mondello, Palermo's marina, to do "la passeggiata", and have lunch by the sea. Head to Monreale, a beautiful village overlooking the Conca d'Oro, and visit its Duomo with its mosaics illustrating the Old and New Testaments. A majestic testimony to Norman-Arab-Byzantine art.

Hire your vehicle when you book your holiday. The heights of Sicily welcome you for an extraordinary day out where the full force of nature is on display. Etna, the most imposing of Europe's active volcanoes, reaches an altitude of 3,340 metres. Its many eruptions regularly change the surrounding landscape. Sicilian morning on a Vespa

Situated between the sea and the volcano Etna in an exceptional landscape, the city has a certain charm with its typical Sicilian atmosphere. The historic centre is ideal for romantic strolls and is home to the magnificent Greco-Roman theatre, the second largest in Sicily. Enjoy a "gelato al limone" or an "aperitivo" in the shade of its narrow streets.

Erice and Marsala

Perched at an altitude of 751 metres, the small village of Erice has a special atmosphere with its twisted rose windows of the Gothic churches and its cobbled medieval character streets.
