  • Discover the weaving workshops of the Urpi community, where you can admire traditional techniques, ranging from spinning to dyeing and weaving. This picturesque community is one of the few that preserves its authentic cultural patterns. The inhabitants, still bilingual, primarily use Quechua, a testament to a culture that reached one of the highest levels of development on the American continent before the arrival of Spanish colonizers.

Meals: Buffet breakfast, lunch (without drinks) and dinner (without drinks) included
Accommodation: San Agustin Internacional, in a traditional room or similar
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Half-day city and San Pedro market tour with a French-speaking guide.
  • You will leave your hotel on foot, accompanied by your guide, to go to the Plaza de Armas and visit the stunning Cusco Cathedral, built on the ruins of Inca temples destroyed by the Spaniards in their attempt to combat what the Holy Inquisition deemed “idolatry.” Among its many wonders, it houses a choir, a masterpiece of colonial cabinetry, carved from oak wood.
  • You will also discover the San Pedro market, which is always bustling. It is the most important market in the city, where you can find fruits, vegetables, spices, and flowers; it’s the perfect opportunity to soak up the local atmosphere!
  • Dinner with a menu at a local restaurant.
  • Half-day excursion in private French-speaking service to explore the four surrounding ruins on horseback.
  • For this excursion, travelers will be divided into two groups:
  • Half of the group will head to Sacsayhuamán by private vehicle. Sacsayhuamán (“the place where the puma rests” in Quechua) was a religious center. This monumental complex offers a beautiful panoramic view of the city. Every year, on June 24, the Inti Raymi (Festival of the Sun) is celebrated there. Then, the group will move on to Q’enqo, where you will visit the site for about thirty minutes. Q’enqo (“labyrinth” or “zigzag” in Quechua) is interpreted as a place of worship for Mother Earth, “PachaMama.” It consists of a huge stone block resembling a puma, carved with corridors, channels, and stairs decorated with engravings representing this animal.
  • Meanwhile, the other half of the group will go directly to the ranch, where a horseback ride of about 1.5 hours towards the Chacan Mountain will begin, on the heights of Cusco.
  • After visiting Sacsayhuamán and Q’enqo, the first group will head to the ranch to start the horseback ride, while the second group will go to visit Sacsayhuamán and Q’enqo.
  • Then, both groups will resume their vehicles to visit the sites of Tambomachay and Pukapukara (thirty minutes of visit at each site). An ancient administrative and military center, Pukapukara (“red tower” in Quechua) is a strategic location composed of platforms, stairs, corridors, and towers. Tambomachay is known as the “Inca bath” and is considered a water worship site, again showcasing the high level of Inca mastery in hydraulic engineering.
  • Return to Cusco.
  • Dinner with a menu at the restaurant Tunupa.
  • You will spend the night at the San Agustin Internacional hotel in a standard room or similar.
