Guided tour of one of the 7 wonders of the world, the great pyramids of Giza (Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus). The visit to the Cheops pyramid is one of the most interesting, because the burial chambers are open to the public. Not far from the pyramid is the Great Sphinx of Giza, which dates from the time of Chephren, this statue combines the head of a pharaoh with the body of a lion. A quick visit to the papyrus institute or a perfume store can be arranged after the tour.

Continuation of the visits of Memphis and Saggara. Memphis the oldest capital of Egypt, was built by King Menes, 24 km southwest of Cairo. It is the most beautiful representation of Ramses II. Sakkara is the oldest ancient Egyptian cemetery. It is located on a desert plateau, southwest of Cairo.

The Pompeii column and the catacombs of Kom el-Shuqafa are considered a gift from the people of Alexandria to Emperor Diocletian. The majority of the remains found around the column can be seen in the Greco-Roman Museum. At the top of the hill is the entrance to the catacombs of Kom al-Shuqafa dating from the first and second centuries.

In the early morning, stop at the Aswan High Dam. Without it, the Nile would flood the fertile plains of the valley every summer due to the influx of water from all over East Africa. The visit will be followed by a boat ride to the temple of Philae. The island of Isis was a real religious city where pilgrims from all over the Mediterranean basin flocked. Around the temple of the goddess, other secondary buildings were erected; we will notice in particular kiosks, a nilometer or the priests’ houses.
Finish the visit and have lunch in a local restaurant in Aswan.
Disembark and transfer to Aswan airport for the flight to Cairo. Arrival in Cairo and meeting with the guide.

Enjoy the Khalili Bazaars, which is one of the most famous in the world with its amazing narrow alleys. The bazaar is the domain of traders and tourists. Jewelers, copper objects, parquetry, semi-precious stones, carpets, blown glass dishes and other souvenirs.

Guided tour of the Citadel and the Mohamed Ali Mosque. You will be escorted through a fascinating labyrinth of small streets, filled with many ancient monuments and mosques from Cairo’s Islamic past.

Visit of the old Cairo, including the Hanging Church, the Church of Abu Serga and the synagogue.
The Hanging Church is considered the oldest church in the Al-Fustat area. It is known as Al-Muallaka (the hanging) because it was built on the ruins of two old towers that were left over from an old fortress called the Babylon fortress. And then you visit the church of St. Sergio (Sergius) or Abu Serga was built in the center of the ancient Roman fort of Babylon. The church is considered one of the sites visited by the Holly family during their escape from Herod to the land of Egypt. Finally, the Ben Ezra Synagogue in Cairo is located behind the hanging church and was once a church itself. The synagogue was a place of pilgrimage for the Jews of North Africa and the site of great celebrations.
