Review of Kiroro Grand Club Med – Stay from December 9th to 12th
Overall, our family had an enjoyable stay at Kiroro Grand, primarily thanks to the fantastic skiing and activities that my sons absolutely loved. The food at the resort was also a highlight, with great variety and quality that kept everyone happy. However, I was a bit disappointed with the value and clarity surrounding our suite booking. When I originally reserved the suites, they were described with certain benefits that differentiated them from the Deluxe and Superior rooms. Upon arrival and throughout our stay, I couldn’t perceive any of these differences. Even after checking with the reception, I was informed there was no distinct benefit or experience for suite guests. Since we spent most of our time out skiing and doing activities, it made me question the value of the upgrade, as we didn’t feel we received anything extra for the additional cost. Additionally, the process for booking extras like the spa, specialty restaurants, and activities felt fragmented and confusing. Information and availability seemed to vary across different platforms or channels, which made planning our days more complicated than it needed to be. In summary, while the core resort experience—especially the skiing, activities, and dining—was excellent for my family, the transparency around suite benefits and the centralized booking system could be improved to match the otherwise high standards of Club Med.

A very good place to learn skiing and fun for families.
This was our first time in Club Med and I must say we had plenty of fun. Our ski instructor, Minah, for most of the trip was excellent at teaching and solidified our basic techniques at each turn. This greatly helped with our progress later on. We felt safe with her at all times and really enjoyed the lessons with her. The kids did lose their jacket at one point and this was eventually found. We would have liked a bit more information about what the kids learnt each day. The food was great and drinks were plentiful. The entertainment was well enjoyed by the family and kids and overall we had a great time. Thank you.

Amazing Experience at Club Med Kiroro Grand
I had a wonderful stay at Club Med Kiroro Grand. Special thanks to my instructor Mike, who is extremely passionate about teaching. Through his clear and detailed explanations, I was able to truly understand carving techniques. He explained everything in a relaxed and easy-to-follow way, which helped me make noticeable progress in a short time. The food at Kiroro Grand was outstanding, with a wide variety of choices — and most importantly, everything was absolutely delicious. It completely won over my appetite! The evening shows were fantastic, especially the circus performance. TOP, the performer, was truly amazing and unforgettable. Many thanks to Village Chief Zack and the entire team for creating such wonderful holiday memories. This was an experience I will definitely treasure.

Poor logistics, nice rooms, friendly but inadequately trained staffs
The experience offered by this establishment is, fundamentally, one of profound contrasts. On one hand, the physical environment and dining experience excel. The rooms are notably great—cozy, impeccably decorated, and providing a high standard of comfort. Equally impressive was the food service, which was consistently great, offering diverse and engaging menus for every single meal. Furthermore, the staff are inherently friendly, greeting guests with warmth and generally proving helpful when their knowledge allowed. Yet, these significant positive elements were consistently undermined by systemic failures in operational procedure, coordination, and staff training, transforming what should have been a seamless stay into a source of recurring frustration. The issues began immediately upon arrival with a frustrating 1.5-hour wait for the transfer from the airport to the resort, setting a clear precedent for the poor organization to follow. The logistical failures continued subtly, even at check-in, when our room key was found to be incorrectly programmed, leaving us locked out until a passing staff member could intervene. While quickly resolved, this foreshadowed the broader lack of precision in the hotel's protocols. The logistical failures escalated significantly with activities involving collection of rental ski equipment. Obtaining skiing gear was a nightmare of inefficiency. A substantial queue was only the beginning; when my daughter could not receive a complete set, staff issued confusing, inconsistent instructions, directing us to "register for the ski club" the following day simply to acquire a helmet and skis. This demonstrated a profound lack of synchronization between the rental service and the club activities. The equipment return process was equally confusing, characterized by contradictory directions that forced unnecessary, time-consuming trips between rooms. Being instructed to collect all gear in one room (Asari room 2) to bring it to a second (Ski Pro Room), only to be immediately sent back to the first room to return the helmet, highlighted a complete breakdown in clear, consolidated procedure. The most critical operational failure, however, occurred within the Kids Club—an area where safety protocols are paramount. Upon attempting to collect my child, staff wrongly insisted she was in the theatre. The key issue here is that the staff did not bother to check first, but simply directed me to another place. After personally verifying her absence there, I returned to the Kids Club. It was only after I pressed them on the matter that the staff bothered to perform a proper check, subsequently discovering my daughter was outside, playing in the snow with another group. This failure to accurately track the location of a child and the initial procedural refusal to verify is a non-negotiable lapse in safeguarding protocol and suggests a dangerous complacency regarding guest safety and supervision. In conclusion, this hotel offers high-quality dining and excellent amenities backed by staff with genuinely positive attitudes. However, the recurring issues—from the long transfer wait and minor technical glitches to confusing logistics and, most alarmingly, the critical failure in children's safety tracking—reveal a deep systemic need for operational review. Management must urgently overhaul staff training and standard operating procedures to ensure the execution of services finally matches the quality of the accommodation, the excellence of the food, and the friendliness of its people.
