Practical information about Zermatt

TRAIN TRANSFER INFO

You must print all the coupons included in your travel documents. You will be asked to show them when you arrive at the station.

One coupon per person, per segment.

If you have a segment with the "Glacier Express", it will combine all passengers booked on the same coupon..

There is also a baggage transfer service from the airport to your destination when traveling by train ( for a more comfortable trip).

Once you've arrived at Tash station, you'll need to change trains for the last segment (from Tash to Zermatt village) and contact your hotel to arrange for their electric shuttle to pick you and your baggage up. Some hotels offer this service free of charge, otherwise you can use the free bus stop in front of the station to get as close as possible to your hotel. The reverse exercise is also necessary at the end of your stay.

LIFT TICKETS

Please present your voucher at one of the two locations below to obtain your RFID ticket:

You will be asked to pay a deposit of CHF 5 for your ski tickets, which you can redeem at departure.

Skicare and Pass-Protect insurance are not included. You can purchase them on-site at a cost of CHF 5 per day for Skicare and CHF 3 per day for Pass-Protect. Click here for more information about the coverage provided by these insurances.

IKON PASS HOLDER

If you hold an IKON pass, you will have direct access to the gondolas and lifts, and there is no need to go to the ticket office beforehand.

Haven’t received your IKON pass at home and you’re about to leave for skiing:

You can pick up your pass at the customer service center or the ticket office of any Ikon Pass resort in North America during opening hours (except for Cypress and RED Mountain). You will need your confirmation number and an ID.

If you pick up your pass on-site and then receive a physical pass by mail, the mailed pass will be canceled.

Currently, it is not possible to pick up your pass on-site at the following international resorts: Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, Mt Hutt, Thredbo, Mt Buller, Dolomiti Superski, Grandvalira Resorts Andorra, Arai Mountain Resort, Niseko United, Valle Nevado, Kitzbühel, Zermatt Matterhorn, St. Moritz, and Chamonix Mont-Blanc.
