Introduction of Mandatory ETIAS Permit for Travels to Europe

Starting at the end of 2026, every Canadian traveler planning to visit Europe will be required to possess an ETIAS permit. This is the European Travel Information and Authorization System, implemented by the European Union.

Please note that this permit costs 7 euros per person, and the process can take up to 30 days for approval.

It is also mandatory to have a passport that remains valid for at least 3 months after your departure date from Europe. Without this, entry at the European border will be denied.

The ESF instructors accompany the youngest in their learning to ski year after year. From snowplough to first tricks, progress is always rewarded with iconic medals, from Piou-Piou to the Gold Star. The children are divided into groups of a similar level.

High Intensity Training

Keep up your exercise routine and improve your physical condition with muscle building and cardio classes. Focus on the core muscles with the exercises in the Core Training session. If you like to push your limits, especially in cardio, join the Circuit Training course.

A course for every level of skill. From learning to ski to off-piste skiing, the instructor will give you technical advice and help you explore the ski area. You'll be in a group with a similar skill level, so you can enjoy the mountains and skiing to the full. Experienced skiers can try cross-country skiing as an introduction or full-on, for half a day, if snow conditions allow.

A great week skiing in the Alps

Had a great week skiing at Club Med Grand Massif. Arrived late sunday in the evening, and the check in process was super fast. I was able to get my ski boots to the ski shops to get the binding sized and register for the next morning ski group lesson. Elevator is super slow, so take the stairs. I ask for floor J which is supper convenient since the ski lockers is also at the same level. Buffet every night has lots of choices and lots of table to sit. My room is comfortable and has a nice view with balcony. Highly recommend this location. I may come back or try another club med in France next year.

Failed help 4 year old head injury

Child Injury – No Emergency Support, Delayed Treatment at Club Med Samoëns On 2 April 2026 at ~19:00, our 4-year-old daughter suffered a deep forehead laceration at Club Med Grand Massif Samoëns. We reached the medical centre within minutes. Initial triage was fine. After that, the situation broke down and we were stuck. - We were told to arrange our own transport to a doctor off-site - Reception said they could not get a taxi up the mountain and offered no alternative until we became visibly distressed - We were told a doctor could come only if we paid €250 cash — we had no cash and reception said they couldn’t help - No solution was offered, and treatment was effectively delayed due to payment logistics - No one took ownership until we escalated under significant distress After pushing hard, a manager eventually stepped in, lent us cash, and arranged for the doctor to attend. Our daughter was treated approximately 2 hours after the injury. The issue is not the doctor. The issue is that: - There is no effective emergency protocol - Staff are not empowered to act - Guests are left to solve critical logistics themselves - Access to care can be blocked by payment method The following morning, we were unable to speak to the General Manager. Reception stated they “did not know where he was” and that emergency support only applies to guests off the mountain. If you are travelling here with children, be aware: in a medical emergency, you may be left to manage transport, payment, and escalation yourself. For a premium, family-focused resort, this is a serious failure. We have escalated this and expect a response.

I highly recommend a family trip to Club Med Grand Massif!

This was our first time at a Club Med and we were blown away by how great our experience was. Our kids loved the skiing (including ski lessons Mon to Fri), the Mini-Club, the buffet and the freedom offered at the resort. As adults, we loved the skiing, the restaurant and the facilities (including the ski lockers and token operated laundry). Grand Massif has a large ski region with Flaine, Samoens, Les Carroz and Morillion so we were pleasantly surprised by how much there was to explore as we skied from Monday to Saturday. We were also very lucky with the weather as we got fresh powder on multiple days during our stay in late March! Before going on this trip, I was nervous about all-inclusive food and was so surprised at how great the buffet was. The options available were different everyday and we never got bored. Our kids also loved all of the options available. There were two areas of improvement: The ventilation in certain areas of the resort were poor so there were some bad smells in different areas including our room which we could never get aired out properly. I wished the family show was earlier than 8:15pm because it was much too late for our kids to enjoy when they had to be at ski lessons the next day at 8:30am (which meant an earlier wake up for breakfast). There was downtime between 5 to 6:45 when there were no activities available so it would make more sense to have a kids show at least for a few days since the skiing was finished by 4.
