Exceptional flora and fauna in an environment of vertical dropoffs, canyons and coral heads. You'll spot barracuda, groupers - including the famous Nassau grouper -, triggerfish, turtles, hammer and reef sharks. San Salvador has a multitude of diving sites for all levels, from beginner to experienced diver. You'll appreciate the beautifully preserved coral reef, water at an average temperature of 27°C, exceptional visibility (beyond 30 m / 100 ft in many cases) and a fascinating variety of underwater life on an impressive drop-off that surrounds San Salvador. The San Salvador sites are within a protected marine area. A few examples of scuba diving spots: Doctor John's": a vast coral garden on the reef, with tunnels and crevasses. "Telephone Pole": a sandy bottom at 12m (40ft) leding to a "tunnel" that comes out at depth of 20m (65ft) in the heart of the wall. "Runway 10": a wide vertical wall with a step at 14m (45ft).

My favorite club med

Location of this club is the best. I love Club Med, but I do see a decline in things compared to prior visits. Would I return? Yes. The snorkeling trips have decreased from twice a day to one. Outside grill at dinner was only open twice during the week. La Pinta was amazing as usual definitely book it. Joshua from excursions is fabulous at his job. Nicola organized a cake for our friends 25th Anniversary. Gabi at spa does a great message. Allan at the bar made great drinks. More was the CDV she made appearances but isn’t as engaging as other CDV’s and I think this sets the tone for rest of staff.

Gorgeous place and wonderful staff

My boyfriend and I had an absolutely lovely stay, and after traveling to many Club Med resorts across the Caribbean and several in Europe, I can confidently say that this village is one of my favorites. The setting is simply exceptional. The beach is stunning, and the water visibility for diving was among the best I’ve experienced in the Caribbean — honestly comparable to some locations in the Pacific. The diving operation was truly top quality. While I did find the diving relatively expensive compared to many other places I have visited, the quality of the equipment and operation absolutely reflected a premium experience. Merci Alex! I also have to mention the water ski team, which was honestly the best I have seen so far at any Club Med. Every single person on the team was outstanding. I spent more time with Sasha, Coco, James, Laurent and Loic and they were all absolutely wonderful — professional, encouraging, warm, and genuinely fun to be around. The sailing team was fantastic as well. Miauh & Leo were super sweet and friendly . A special mention also goes to the Chief of the Village. More was incredibly attentive, present, and professional throughout the week. I spoke with her several times during our stay, and what impressed me most was how visible and engaged she was with the guests. You could truly feel that she cared about the guest experience. The village itself is absolutely gorgeous and extremely well designed. One thing I particularly loved was that the main restaurant overlooks the beach — something quite rare and very special. The entire setup of the village feels thoughtful, open, and beautifully integrated with the natural surroundings. The beach bar was another highlight for us. The sunsets there are truly second to none, and the cocktails were consistently very good quality. A special thank you to Joshua and Alex at the bar, who were incredibly friendly and always went above and beyond with their service. Their warmth and positive energy made our evenings even more enjoyable. Our room was also spacious, beautifully renovated, and very comfortable. Of course, Club Med has never been about ultra-luxury rooms, and that is part of its charm. What truly makes the experience stand out is the incredible quality of the people, the atmosphere, and the sports and activity offerings. I also participated in several fitness classes, and once again, the team was top-notch. Adrian, who oversees the sports activities, is an absolute champion. His energy, professionalism, and leadership clearly elevate the entire experience. One thing I would mention for future guests is that this is not necessarily a “party-party” Club Med like Turks & Caicos, for example. In my opinion, this is not due to the GOs at all, but more the type of crowd the village attracts. The atmosphere felt a little more relaxed and chilled overall — which, for us on this trip, was actually perfect. Since we spent so much time doing water sports and activities, we were not looking for heavy partying every night. That being said, the Rum Run and White Night were both excellent evenings with a great atmosphere and plenty of fun. We are leaving with wonderful memories 💙

Enrico - Best photographer around!

Enrico at Club Med was amazing! Took the time to take beautiful pictures of us, let us look and adjust during the shoot, and was able to capture our hectic proposal beautifully! He’s also super friendly and made us feel so comfortable with all the poses. We love you Enrico! Hope to shoot with him again soon

Vacation with FRIENDS

San Salvador Club Med Columbus Ilse Bahamas - The property and beach were beautiful and maintained well. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the value of the resort was great, cleanliness of resort was above average. The GO's were exceptional the ones that impressed me the most were: Naurumi from the fitness made Zumba and fitness classes fun and Aqua gym pool and entertainment she was also great and friendly. Maoui games, sports, Aqua gym in the Sea, entertainment etc. she was everywhere and did a great job always including everyone in the fun. Joshua we rented Scooters from him and Jerry was our tour guide. Joshua was very knowable and patient while we choose what to do with our group of 5, he also ate dinner with us and would talk to us anytime we saw him. He booked us with Jerry the tour guide and he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Island and the instruction on how to ride the Scooters to keep us safe. Leo was a very nice young man who was part of the sailing team and was very helpful to my friend George when he went sailing. Leo also had dinner with us and would stop and talk to us whenever he saw us. Chef De Village More did an amazing job with running the resort she also had many conversations with us and checking to see how our visit was going. Thank you to all of the housekeeping, chef's, food service crew, bartenders, and reception staff. We all had an amazing time and were very relaxed, your guest staying at the resort were even nice to each other. We will be back!
