Our stay at Club Med Cefalù was truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how immaculate both the rooms and the entire resort were. The property is set within a breathtaking landscape, offering stunning views and a sense of peace that made every morning feel special. This was neither our first European summer holiday nor our first Club Med experience, yet it was certainly one of the very best. The food, service, atmosphere, and overall experience were excellent. Throughout the entire week, we did not encounter a single team member without a smile, which speaks volumes about the spirit of the resort. A special round of applause goes to Chef de Village Luca, whose presence and genuine attention to guests could be felt everywhere. His dedication to ensuring everyone had a wonderful stay was truly remarkable. We would also like to thank Annalisa and Salvatore for their warm and attentive service at La Rocca, the kind and professional Giovanni at Il Covo, and Manuela at the Spa, whose magical hands provided one of the most relaxing experiences of our holiday. We leave with wonderful memories and gratitude for a truly exceptional week. Club Med Cefalù has given us a holiday filled with relaxation, hospitality, and unforgettable moments, and we very much hope to return in the future.

Avoid the pasta. Try yoga with Fabio. Walk into Cefalu. Swim in the blue sea.
Rooms are very clean and there are plenty of sports. Beautiful grounds and very large terrain so you can get away from people. Fabio’s yoga classes are superb. He is a very patient and calming teacher and incredibly inclusive. One of the very few instructors who speaks good English. Avoid the Les Mills yoga classes where no English is spoken and may put off people who have not tried yoga. The pasta dishes and pizzas are simply awful: cold and rubbery. Strange that Sicilians cannot produce decent pasta in such an exclusive club. The dinner at the Palazzo is excellent and a wonderful dining experience. The free wines at the table are excellent Sicilian wines, no need to purchase wines. Champagne and spirits are first class and free. Serving staff in the three restaurants are wonderful locals who can’t do enough for you. Walk into Cefalu along the lovely seafront and experience real life.

My husband and I stayed at Club Med Cefalù immediately after our wedding as a honeymoon splurge — a stay well outside our normal budget that we booked specifically because we wanted a memorable luxury experience to celebrate. The property itself is undeniably beautiful. The setting, views, and facilities are impressive. Unfortunately, the service consistently fell short of what we expected for the price point. When we arrived, we mentioned that we had just gotten married and were celebrating our honeymoon. While we did not expect anything extravagant, luxury hotels commonly acknowledge milestone occasions in some small way. Nothing was done, which on its own would not have mattered much, but it set the tone for a stay that felt surprisingly impersonal. Our room was not ready at arrival, which was completely understandable, so we changed, headed to the beach, and had lunch. Lunch service was frustrating from start to finish. We repeatedly had to flag down our waiter to receive menus, place orders, and request subsequent courses. The menu was vague (“fish of the day,” “meat of the day,” etc.), but staff were unable to clearly explain what the dishes actually were. The food itself was mediocre. Later, we received a WhatsApp message that our room was ready. We returned to reception, where a staff member said he would bring us to our room. Mid-interaction, another guest arrived and the receptionist’s attention simply shifted away from us as though we no longer existed. We ultimately made our way to the room ourselves, where we discovered our luggage left unattended outside in the Sicilian sun, accessible to anyone passing by. Before arrival, we attempted to arrange a couples massage and were told to wait until check-in to book directly with the spa. After doing exactly that, we were informed that the only option available was for one of us to receive a brief 20-minute massage immediately. Needless to say, that was not the couples spa experience we had tried to organize in advance. Throughout the property, obtaining basic assistance often felt unnecessarily difficult. The golf carts transporting guests did not proactively stop or ask whether guests needed transportation; you had to actively wave them down. At the beach, we requested an umbrella while umbrellas and bases were visibly present nearby and were told it was somehow impossible. To be fair, the property is beautiful, and none of these issues individually would necessarily ruin a stay. But collectively — especially for a one-night honeymoon celebration at a luxury price point — the experience left us feeling overlooked, underwhelmed, and poorly cared for. Club Med Cefalù has the physical beauty of a luxury resort. In our experience, the hospitality and service execution did not consistently match it.
