A Good Escapade from City Life

An enjoyable family escapade from city life … with Grace’s input on the suitable dates end may -June 1… two birthday surprises arranged by Grace and perfectly executed, zen pool was a sheer relaxation with the scenic sea beach, peace and quiet surroundings .. the shows were splendidly show cased, Mia (Yoga instructor) was brilliant in the full body exercise, and the sound yoga, the archery guys on evening of 30/5 were very courteous, helpful and fun filled …. rooms were cozy and comfortable, food was a variety of dishes and good, … pool Gym on 31/5 was Well structured and fun … kudos to the teams …

Amazing week in jungle paradise

Spent a wonderful week at this jungle paradise and it went by too quickly! Run by a great CDV Clayton, the resort staff and activities were fantastic, and the rooms and amenities were all well maintained! Mo was great at coordinating transport and made sure we had a hassle free ride from Kuantan airport. The property didn’t leave any stone unturned, from rock climbing to sailing, there is something for everyone, and Mario was great at teaching us the rules for Padel and making sure we were having a good time and playing our best The evening events were super fun, with Carol, Joel, and Cammy really making sure the shows went off without a hitch! And shoutout to Jover for playing amazing tunes and singing them well The rest of the staff were also very friendly and attentive with Neo, Julieta, Charro, Clara, Job, Adrian, and Angela being some of the stand outs! Next time we’ll definitely stay for two weeks!

Overall Verdict: A highly enjoyable stay with superb dining, though the physical property is showing its age.

The Highlights Dining & Food (Excellent): The culinary experience was a standout feature of the trip. The food quality, variety, and presentation across the main dining options were consistently excellent. Sleep Quality (Superb): While the accommodations overall need updating, the bed quality was outstanding. Expect a highly comfortable, restful night's sleep. Overall Experience: Good. The classic Club Med atmosphere, service, and programming delivered a positive vacation experience despite hardware shortcomings. Areas for Improvement Rooms & Facilities: The resort's infrastructure and guest rooms are visibly run-down and in need of maintenance. Enak Restaurant: The dining environment here was compromised by a notable presence of flies, which detracted from the experience. Bathroom Maintenance: Encountered drainage issues in the room, resulting in a flooded bathroom during the stay. Summary Note The physical wear and tear is understandable given the resort's tenure, and management appears aware of the issue. Club Med Cherating is scheduled to close in October 2026 for extensive renovations, which should address the current facility and maintenance drawbacks.
