Set out to discover Morocco’s most beautiful landscapes on a tour combining culture, hiking and immersion in Berber traditions.

From vibrant Marrakech to the majestic dunes of the Sahara, via the valleys of the High Atlas, the spectacular Dadès Gorges, fortified villages listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the charming coastal cities of Agadir and Essaouira, this trip will allow you to discover all the richness and diversity of the country.

The selected hikes will take you into the heart of magnificent landscapes made up of mountains, valleys, oases and desert, while encouraging encounters with local communities. The experience will be crowned by a night under the stars in a Berber camp in the heart of the Merzouga dunes.

Accompanied by a French-speaking local guide and a Gendrontours tour leader, this tour offers a harmonious balance between cultural discoveries, physical activity and moments of relaxation.

This tour is intended for active travellers who enjoy walking and discovering nature.

Several hikes of 4 to 6 hours are planned throughout the stay, with elevation gains of up to approximately 400 metres. The trails used are generally accessible, but some sections include rocky terrain, uneven or sandy paths, particularly in the High Atlas valleys and the Sahara dunes.

Participants must also be comfortable with several days involving long road transfers, some of which may take 4 to 6 hours between the different regions visited.

A good overall level of physical fitness is recommended in order to fully enjoy the experience. No technical hiking experience is required, but being accustomed to regular walking is an important asset.
