Depart from Montreal to discover Norway’s grandiose landscapes, including mountains, fjords and picturesque villages. Your journey begins in Oslo, where a guided tour reveals the capital’s must-see attractions, including Vigeland Sculpture Park and Akershus Fortress.

Then cross the Gudbrandsdalen Valley to Lillehammer before taking the spectacular Trollstigen road to Ålesund, famous for its Art Nouveau architecture. A cruise on the majestic Geirangerfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, awaits you, followed by a hike to the Briksdal Glacier.

No visa is required for Canadian citizens travelling to Norway for tourism purposes.
Entry requirements may be changed without notice. Travellers are responsible for verifying the required documents before departure.

Introduction of Mandatory ETIAS Permit for Travels to Europe

Starting at the end of 2026, every Canadian traveler planning to visit Europe will be required to possess an ETIAS permit. This is the European Travel Information and Authorization System, implemented by the European Union.

Please note that this permit costs 7 euros per person, and the process can take up to 30 days for approval.

It is also mandatory to have a passport that remains valid for at least 3 months after your departure date from Europe. Without this, entry at the European border will be denied.

Arrival in Oslo

Welcome by your tour guide and assistance upon arrival, followed by a transfer to the city centre.

Oslo – Lillehammer – Gudbrandsdalen Valley

Highlights: Vigeland Sculpture Park and panorama from the Lillehammer ski jump

Guided tour of Oslo: Royal Palace, National Theatre, Parliament, modern waterfront Opera House, Akershus Fortress and City Hall (where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded).
Visit to Vigeland Sculpture Park: a monumental ensemble of more than 200 sculptures by Gustav Vigeland depicting the stages of human life.
Depart north along Lake Mjøsa, Norway’s largest lake.

Troll Road – Ålesund

Highlights: Troll Road and its viewpoints

Travel through the Gudbrandsdalen Valley, located in the heart of the Jotunheimen, Dovrefjell and Rondane mountain ranges.
Travel along the famous Troll Road, one of Norway’s most impressive scenic routes, with its hairpin bends and spectacular viewpoints.
Lunch en route.
Continue to Ålesund, a coastal city renowned for its Art Nouveau architecture, rebuilt after the 1904 fire.
Dinner at leisure.

Geirangerfjord – Briksdal – Sognefjord Region

Highlights: Cruise on the Geirangerfjord (UNESCO)

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Accommodation: Leikangerfjord Hotel (or similar)

Breakfast buffet at the hotel.
Depart for the Geirangerfjord, a natural gem listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Ferry crossing between Linge and Eidsdal, followed by a drive along the spectacular Eagle Road, offering breathtaking views of the fjord.
Board a cruise of approximately 1 hour on the Geirangerfjord: cliffs, snow-capped peaks and legendary waterfalls (the Seven Sisters, the Bridal Veil).
Disembark in Hellesylt and have lunch.
Continue to the Briksdal Glacier (Jostedalsbreen National Park).
Short hike of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes round trip to admire the glacier descending into the heart of a lush green valley.
Option: cart transport to the viewpoint for travellers with walking difficulties (estimated cost: ~€28 round trip).

Leikanger – Sognefjord Cruise – Bergen

Highlights: Flåm–Gudvangen Cruise on the Nærøyfjord (UNESCO)

Crossing of the Sognefjord between Manheller and Fodnes, followed by a drive along the Lærdal River, renowned for its salmon.

Continue to Flåm: free time for dinner on your own and to enjoy the scenery.
Board a cruise on the Sognefjord between Flåm and Gudvangen, including sailing on the Nærøyfjord, the most spectacular and narrowest arm of the fjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Continue to Bergen with a stop at the Tvindefossen waterfall and a drive through Voss.

Bergen – Hardangerfjord – Geilo

Highlights: Vøringsfossen and crossing the Hardangervidda plateau

2-hour panoramic city tour with your group leader: the Hanseatic city, nestled between its seven hills, and the old quarter, which has preserved its colorful wooden houses that once served as trading offices for German merchants. Ravaged by a terrible fire in 1702, the buildings along the quay were rebuilt identically to their 12th-century originals. The shops and some of the quay’s residences—61 buildings in total—are now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the 13th century until 1830, when it gave way to Oslo, Bergen was the capital of Norway and considered the most important city in Scandinavia. Today, with 230,000 inhabitants, it is the country’s second-largest city.
Free time to stroll through the picturesque streets or enjoy lunch on your own at the fish market.
Depart for the Hardangerfjord.
Stop at the Steinsdalsfossen waterfall.
Continue to Vøringsfossen waterfall (182 m), one of the most impressive in Norway.
Cross the Hardangervidda plateau, a vast national park home to, among other species, wild reindeer.
Dinner and overnight at the Geilo Hotel (or similar).

Day 8

Geilo – Oslo

Highlights: Farewell dinner in Oslo

Return to Oslo via the Hallingdal Valley.
Stop at the Torpo stave church (exterior view), followed by a discovery of the scenery around Lake Tyrifjord.

In the evening, farewell dinner at a restaurant to celebrate the Norwegian adventure.
