Introduction of Mandatory ETIAS Permit for Travels to Europe

Starting at the end of 2026, every Canadian traveler planning to visit Europe will be required to possess an ETIAS permit. This is the European Travel Information and Authorization System, implemented by the European Union.

Please note that this permit costs 7 euros per person, and the process can take up to 30 days for approval.

It is also mandatory to have a passport that remains valid for at least 3 months after your departure date from Europe. Without this, entry at the European border will be denied.

Day 1

Nice

Upon arriving in Nice, pick up your rental vehicle and take the coastal road to admire the Mediterranean landscapes. Settle into your hotel, then head out on foot to explore the city and discover Castle Hill with its breathtaking views.

Day 2

Nice

Visit the Matisse Museum to immerse yourself in the artist’s universe, then take a walk in the Jardin des Arènes de Cimiez, surrounded by the remains of a Roman amphitheater. Picnic in the peaceful Monastery Gardens of Cimiez. In the afternoon, participate in a workshop at Molinard to discover the art of perfumery, then end with a guided tour of the Nice Côte d’Azur Opera, organized by the Heritage Center.

Day 3

Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat - Monaco

Leave early for Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and discover the Mediterranean charm by strolling along the marina, with its moored boats and colorful houses. Take the Chemin des Douaniers for spectacular views, then visit the sumptuous Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild and its nine themed gardens. Next, head towards Monaco, explore the Formula 1 circuit on foot, and admire the Car Collection of H.S.H. the Prince.

Day 4

Nice - Cannes
