Introduction of Mandatory ETIAS Permit for Travels to Europe
Starting at the end of 2026, every Canadian traveler planning to visit Europe will be required to possess an ETIAS permit. This is the European Travel Information and Authorization System, implemented by the European Union.

Please note that this permit costs 7 euros per person, and the process can take up to 30 days for approval.
It is also mandatory to have a passport that remains valid for at least 3 months after your departure date from Europe. Without this, entry at the European border will be denied.
Itinerary:
- Flight from Montreal to Paris.
Arrival at Paris – Charles de Gaulle airport, and departure by coach to Orléans. Lunch ($) at Parc Floral de la Source in Orléans. Continue by coach to Blois and check-in at the hotel. Dinner at the restaurant (included) in downtown Blois followed by free evening. Overnight in Blois.
Bike: 40 km and 200 meters of ascent
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet with the cycling guide and get on the saddle. Bike ride to the Château de Chambord. Lunch ($) at the Château de Chambord. Self-guided (audio-guided) tour of the Château. Continue the bike ride back to Blois. Dinner at the restaurant (included) and night guided tour of Blois. Night in Blois.
Bike: 42 km and 200 meters of elevation gain
Breakfast at the hotel. Bicycle ride to a vineyard in the AOC Cheverny / Cour-Cheverny, followed by a tour of the estate and wine tasting. Continue by bicycle to the village of Cour-Cheverny and have lunch ($). Free visit (with brochure) of the Château de Cheverny. Continue the bicycle ride back to Blois. Dinner and evening at leisure. Suggestion: the Sound and Light show at the Château de Blois. Overnight in Blois.
Bike: 40 km and 220 meters of elevation gain – Luggage transfer
Breakfast at the hotel. Bike ride to Chaumont-sur-Loire. Lunch ($) in Chaumont-sur-Loire. Self-guided tour (with brochure) of the Castle and its Garden Festival. Bike ride to Amboise. Breakfast at the hotel. Bike ride to Chenonceaux. Tasting of local wines in the Caves of the Château de Chenonceau. Lunch ($) in the Château park. Free visit (audio-guided) of the Château. Continue the bike ride back to Amboise. Free evening and dinner ($). Overnight in Amboise.
Bike: 64 km and 420 meters elevation gain
Breakfast at the hotel. Bike ride towards Villandry, via Tours. Lunch ($) in Tours and continuation of the ride towards Villandry. Self-guided (audio-guided) visit to the Château de Villandry and its Gardens. Continue the bike ride towards Azay-le-Rideau. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner at the restaurant (included) and evening at leisure. Overnight in Azay-le-Rideau.
Bike: 60 km and 600 meters of elevation
Breakfast at the hotel. Bike ride to a winery in the Chinon AOC. Visit the winery and tasting. Continue cycling to the town of Chinon, and have Lunch ($) there. Continue the bike ride to return to Azay-le-Rideau, via the Château d’Ussé. Dinner ($) and evening on your own. Overnight in Azay-le-Rideau. Overnight in Paris.
