Introduction of Mandatory ETIAS Permit for Travels to Europe
Starting at the end of 2026, every Canadian traveler planning to visit Europe will be required to possess an ETIAS permit. This is the European Travel Information and Authorization System, implemented by the European Union.
For more information about this permit, you can visit the official website at the following address: https://travel-europe.europa.eu/etias_en.
Please note that this permit costs 7 euros per person, and the process can take up to 30 days for approval.
It is also mandatory to have a passport that remains valid for at least 3 months after your departure date from Europe. Without this, entry at the European border will be denied.
Canadians are now required to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) for travel to the United Kingdom starting January 8, 2025, or later.
You can download the application and find the necessary information at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta.
Itinerary:
A private coach will bring you to The Glasshouse Hotel, located in the charming town of Sligo. You will stay there for 4 nights while discovering some of the most beautiful stretches of the Wild Atlantic Way.
Located in a spectacular setting of wild dunes, Enniscrone is regarded as one of the best links courses in Ireland. Offering a perfect blend of challenge, natural beauty and strategic design, this championship course features breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and sinuous holes winding through vast dunes. A must for lovers of authentic golfing thrills.
This course, nestled at the foot of the majestic Knocknarea, overlooks Sligo Bay. Strandhill offers a unique layout, with winding holes that challenge golfers while offering exceptional views of the ocean. Although slightly shorter than other courses in the region, it more than makes up for it with its originality and beauty.
Located in the wild region of County Mayo, Carne Golf Links is a natural masterpiece carved through spectacular dunes. Designed by architect Eddie Hackett, the course is distinguished by its dramatic holes, striking remoteness and seamless integration into the surrounding landscape. An immersive experience, far from the crowds, that captures the essence of traditional Irish golf.
Morning
Excursion to the Slieve League Cliffs. The Slieve League Cliffs, among the highest in Europe, offer an unforgettable panorama of the Atlantic Ocean. You will enjoy a guided tour followed by a traditional Irish dinner, all set in a strikingly beautiful natural setting.
Afternoon
Departure by coach to the Radisson Blu Hotel, Letterkenny, where you will stay for the next 4 nights.
This historic course, originally designed by the legendary Tom Morris, has been modernized while retaining its old‑world charm. Located within the spectacular Rosapenna complex, the Old Tom Morris Links offers a classic round of links golf with views over Sheephaven Bay. Its flowing layout and fast greens make for an experience that is as enjoyable as it is memorable.
Sculpted in the heart of the majestic dunes on Ireland’s north coast, Sandy Hills Links embodies the true authenticity of an Irish links course. With its spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, its undulating fairways lined by towering dunes, and a unique atmosphere typical of coastal links, the course appeals as much to lovers of scenery as to golf purists. Although the course is considered demanding due to the often-present wind and sometimes narrow lines of play — every player, whatever their level, will find something to enjoy there, thanks to a variety of possible shots and the exceptional quality of the greens. More than a mere technical test, Sandy Hills is a memorable golfing adventure, where every hole tells a story.
Designed by acclaimed architect Tom Doak, St. Patrick’s Links has quickly become one of the gems of golf in Ireland. Offering an immersive experience in a wild setting, the course combines the raw charm of traditional links with the innovation of contemporary design. A course as beautiful as it is strategic, with breathtaking views of the Atlantic from start to finish.
Place names verified: Tom Doak; St. Patrick’s Links; Ireland.
Morning
Visit to the Guinness Storehouse, one of Dublin’s most iconic sites. You will discover the history of Ireland’s most famous beer and enjoy a tasting at the Gravity Bar with panoramic views over the city.
Afternoon
Departure by coach to the Hyatt Centric The Liberties Dublin for a final night in the Irish capital.
