Otaru canal cruise tour

The journey begins with a visit to Nikka Whisky, a leading Japanese distillery in Yoichi, renowned for its award-winning single malt whiskies. Visitors can enjoy a self-guided tour through original stone buildings to learn about the whisky-making process. The itinerary continues with a 40-minute Otaru Canal Cruise, offering insights into Otaru's rich historical heritage. Afterwards, guests can shop or stroll in Otaru before heading back to the resort.
Tenguyama ropeway tour

Amazing family stay
Most unforgettable trip! We first arrived at the Club Med, awaited by the most amazing staff that helped us settle into our room. During our stay we had amazing weather conditions for skiing; first day of skiing I was taken in a small group taught by William (Swedish Jesus) who helped improve my technique and boosted my confidence. I also was lucky to have the ski instructor Jonas who showed us through different terrains and overall boosted the vibe of our lesson. During lunch’s and dinners all the G.O team made us feel so welcome, Eric, Poppy, William, Anna, Jonas, and Tom were all amazing. Couldn’t have asked for a better trip. The club med peak is an easy option for families.

What a fantastic week! We enjoyed every little bit with amazing GOs and GEs. Only to name a few Loic, Robin, Justin, Manon, Tristan, Batu, Ryo, Henry, Midori to keep us entertained. Gabriel and his team to keep us fantastically fed (every meal was a delight). And of course thanks to Bona, Bakr and Marcela to have kept us constantly hydrated. And lastly thanks for Eva for bringing this all together. Here's to hoping we'll be back in this fantastic ski-in ski-out resort with out of this world snow.

Special thanks to Nino and his ski team for making our year end ski trip joyful once again. Club Med Kiroro Peak under Nino leadership has always demonstrates outstanding professionalism and thoughtful skill in every aspect of their work. Each instructor brings not only deep expertise, but also patience, clarity, and genuine care for learners’ progress. Lessons are well-structured, engaging, and adapted to different learning styles, ensuring everyone feels supported and motivated. The team’s diversity ensure different age group, language and culture are not left out and friendship are made easily amongst members. Special thanks to our ski instructors this year… Henry, Marusa, Erick and Ethan. You guys are great!!!

A Disappointing Return Visit That Fell Well Below Expectations
I stayed at Club Med Kiroro Peak from 7 to 14 December 2025. Unfortunately, this visit was significantly below expectations and markedly worse than my previous stay in March 2025, which had been excellent and set a very high standard. This contrast made the shortcomings during this stay particularly noticeable. The issues began even before arrival. From mid year until the trip, emails sent to the help desk received no response. Closer to the trip, I was contacted by a GO team member, but despite following up with several questions, I again received no reply. During the stay itself, there were repeated service lapses. On one occasion, my suite was left without bathrobes after housekeeping removed them and failed to replace them. When I contacted reception, my request was questioned multiple times, with several calls made to reconfirm the issue. Eventually, a housekeeping manager came to the room to personally verify the absence of the bathrobes before they were finally delivered. The entire process felt unnecessarily distrustful and time consuming. There were also multiple days when basic amenities were not replenished properly. Toiletries and bottled water were missing on several occasions, and when I requested certain minibar items such as the potato snack and yuzu drink, I was told they were out of stock. Interactions at the reception desk were another low point. On several occasions, staff appeared unwelcoming and displayed a lack of warmth when legitimate concerns were raised. This made resolving issues uncomfortable and inconsistent with the service culture I associate with Club Med. At the bar, I ordered two latte coffees and waited at my seat as usual. After some time, I returned to check on the order and noticed a large group being served despite arriving after me, and I was asked to wait aside. While this may have been an operational oversight, the situation was disappointing. There was also confusion regarding tattoo stickers for the onsen. Signage outside the onsen stated that the stickers were complimentary, yet reception insisted they were chargeable at 1,500 yen and implied that the discrepancy was our fault. One pack was eventually provided as a gesture, but the handling could have been clearer and more professional. The only consistently positive part of this stay was Maki at the restaurant. She was warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive throughout the week, and reflected the level of service I experienced during my previous visit.
