Family stay of 4 nights. We had an amazing time with the kids. The GOs were genuine and the activities plenty. We originally planned to visit around but decided to eventually remain in the resort. We will certainly come back.

Beautiful setting, excellent food, minor organisational niggles. Would use Club Med again, if not this specific resort.
Club Med Opio en Provence, May 2026 We had a really good week. The setting is beautiful, the food is excellent, the weather delivered, and the resort has a lovely atmosphere once you settle in. Any gripes are fairly minor in the context of an enjoyable family holiday. The scenery is stunning and the resort is well maintained for older infrastructure. Nice is a short drive with multiple daily UK flights making it very easy to get to. The main pool was immaculate, consistently clean, sunbeds plentiful and towel management actively handled. The adult pool is beautiful, though oddly has no bar. The circus facilities were exceptional and the staff who run them put on the most stunning show of the trip. Food was a real highlight throughout. The buffet and grill a la carte were varied, regional, fresh and beautifully presented with genuine choice every day. The terrace restaurant has outstanding views and plenty of space on most days, though Sunday lunch was very busy with queuing and very few shaded tables outside. A few things could be sharper. Bags left outside the room as instructed were not collected for several hours. A late checkout we had requested was simply forgotten. There was no arrival orientation covering how to book activities, navigate the resort or understand how Club Med works. Many staff spoke limited English and activity instruction was delivered in fast, technical French throughout, which is worth knowing before you go. The children’s club is well intentioned and the staff are friendly, but they could do more to actively engage English-speaking children. Ours needed a bit more drawing out than the team provided, and we heard the same from other British families. The resort has a strong conferencing function and the central bar reflects this, feeling like a mix of lobby, thoroughfare and breakout space. The atmosphere improved noticeably once a conference group departed. The included house wine needs to be served very cold. Poolside cups are small, there is no direct bar access from the pool, no lounger drinks or food service, and no snacks or ice creams available between main meals. Rooms are basic with poor internal lighting and instant coffee in a kettle, which feels a little thin at this price point. Overall, Opio is carried by its setting, its food and its sunshine, and on those terms it genuinely delivers.

Club Med is a renowned establishment that thrives in the hospitality department. Although the prices are expensive (and seem to be getting higher every year) we know for sure that our children are taken care of and happy. Special thanks to Maicon Jackson for slinging his drinks, Peppo and his team for making our kids very happy throughout the week and the entirety of the staff who were so kind. Paul from the reception was particularly nice and sweet. It was our first time in Opio and we will 100% be coming back.
