Declined compared to previous years - except the sailing and food and beverage teams!
The stay was good, but could’ve been better. For context have been to club med bodrum 2x previously (June 2016 and July 2022). This time stayed September 2023. This is the third time we have been to Bodrum having loved the good vibes, friendly GO team, good range of food and activities and fantastic resort and weather previously. This time round the sailing team, headed by Selchuk were again fantastic. The team including Behruz, Sascha, Morat, Bacaye and more were always friendly and smiley, always happy to help with equipment and great instructors. A real asset to Club Med. The addition of Wingsurfing this year was an exciting new add (although capacity for these lessons could be increased - I wonder if there is any possibility within the development of the new My Club Med App whether the sign up for lessons could start to be part of this rather than having to join a queue early for the 9:30 time that sign ups open). As for the rest of the GO team they were very much less present this year than previous visits to bodrum (and indeed other club med resorts we’ve visited). We never met the chef de village (we understood that he was unwell) but there didn’t appear to be any clear leader uniting the team and welcoming guests as well as leading evening entertainment. It all seemed a bit disorganised and improvised and although this might be expected in the case of a sudden change of circumstances this had not improved by the end of the week. Whereas usually there’d be daily (sometimes 2x) walkalongs the beach with fruits/snacks this only happened once throughout the whole stay and we felt the GOs were slightly more distanced than usual (this might be due to visiting closer to the end of the season than previously - although this isn’t really a valid excuse, and again this excludes the sailing team who were always friendly and welcoming). Unfortunately on the evening of white night the dinner around the pool was slightly spoiled by a thunderstorm that poured rain all over the starters - this was forecast but the outdoor dinner went ahead anyway and hence when trying to move indoors there was chaos as the inside hadn’t been prepared. The food itself though was fabulous all week and the bar staff also can’t be faulted. Also a noticeable improvement compared to last year is the absence of wasps around the club! We did however have multiple power cuts throughout the week, especially noticeable at dinner time when the whole resort would go pitch black. We didn’t try archery so can’t comment, but did meet the Archery GO who seemed very friendly and knowledgeable about archery. We also didn’t do the snorkel trip as had been previously and heard from other guests that they were going to the same places as before where there was very little to see snorkelling (I think this is just the area). The boat did also break so the trips were cancelled one of the days. Aqua gym through the week was good when run by the GO team - although was run by a guest on the first day and it was neither good nor appropriate. It was busy however and whenever pool noodles were used there were never enough for everyone. Beach volleyball was also good fun, but although was on the app daily half the week it was led by the guests and the sport GOs only turned up half the time? Throughout the week there were only 2 GO shows - such a shame as although they aren’t usually as polished as the professional shows they tend to be more entertaining. The choreography and show content was also poorer than previous years - it does make you wonder why each club needs a choreographer when they appear to be doing so little. All in all the entertainment seriously lacked compared to last year. Regarding the rooms they were less clean than last year - numerous spiders in the rooms and also floors not particularly clean. My room also had a cracked window which didn’t leave a particularly good impression. The new beach towel system could also use some optimisation. Previously you swapped out old for new personally but this year fresh beach towels were supposed to be left in the rooms daily - this did not happen daily so you were often left with the choice of using a damp towel from the previous day or having to hunt down the housekeeping stuff to get a new towel. Very long review but the main point is with the exception of the sailing team, bar team and the kitchen staff, the resort does seemed to have declined compared to previous visits and the club med vibe wasn’t really felt this year. Shame as have loved the resort previously with no complaints.

Another great Club Med holiday in Turkey
Bodrum's main appeal is peace and tranquillity and better restaurant views than Palmiye but still retains the great Club Med DNA with plenty of activities and night life. Easy to get around, all facilities are well within reach. Etem and Musa are both great Ambassadors for Club Med and deserve a special mention for their expertise and friendliness.

Excellent location, great resort
Nice village with an excellent layout, no matter where your room is, everything seems to be close by. The village is located on a mountain with a lot of trees, so you are actually in a forest🙂 Good quality good and variety of food, and if you like to dance: there is dancing every evening and almost every evening we end up in the night club in the Club Med village. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thank you guys so much for a wonderful holiday, a special thanks goes to: Sacha from the Catamaran Team - you have learned me a lot and were very patient Musa from the Sunset bar - Thanks for your energy man! Olana from Reception - your smile made me happier every day Hope to see you all again, soon!

Club Med Bodrum 2023
We had a wonderful stay at Club Med. The facilities are amazing and it really afforded us the chance to unwind with friends. It is a very scenic setting. The food was very health-orientated but still amazing and we could easily travel to town for shopping via a local bus. At times the serving staff was a bit unfriendly and the French guests were quite rude at times. They overreacted if one stopped to look at the food being served or if we chatted too loudly by the pool area (not a zen pool btw). The overall experience was nice but the large amount of elderly French guests really did not make it feel like the Club Med culture that we have experienced before.
