Hello dear customer,Here is some important information about your travel destination. Please read it carefully. THE GENDRON TRAVEL TEAM
|
Our on-site representative,Michel Chevret |
Welcome to Chamonix!
I will be your representative at destination and will be responsible for introducing you to skiing in Chamonix and helping you during your stay. I am a ski instructor and have worked for the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc for 10 years.
An information meeting should be scheduled upon your arrival. At the same time, you'll be given details about upcoming weather, guided activities, the Vallée Blanche, etc. In the meantime, here are a few details to consider in advance of your stay, with a free drink from Gendronski. Download the free Chamonix app on your smart device as soon as possible. Every morning from 8.30am, you'll be able to check weather conditions and access to ski areas. That way, you can make the right choices and optimize your day.
I look forward to meeting you during your stay and helping you discover this wonderful ski area. You can contact me as soon as you arrive at the hotel to arrange a meeting.

Unlimited access if you wish to go more than once during your stay. Preferential rate of 22 euros for the round trip, for information and reservations: SAT Chamonix: +33 450 580 253 or on the website: www.estore.arriva.it. Once at destination, you'll need to show your MBU (SkiPass) to the ticket office staff, who will issue you with an access card for the ski area.

- Guests wishing to visit the sights should take advantage of the exclusive 6 = 7 offer provided by Gendronski (as specified on the voucher upon arrival): The MBU ticket will give you access to the sites as soon as you arrive (given to you at your hotel check-in or on presentation of your voucher at the Montenvers office located at 35, Place Mer de Glace - 74400 Chamonix (open 8.30am - 5.30pm)).

- Aiguille du Midi, a must-see (including access to Pas dans le vide and Vallée Blanche). However, to ski the Vallée Blanche, you'll need an accredited guide. Your destination representative will be able to put you in touch with them on request.
ADVICE: Plan to leave as early as possible, as lifts open at 9 am. From 10 a.m. there are many group departures with ski school instructors, who will slow you down to access the ski areas. If you arrive in time for the opening, you'll be able to make the most of your day. If the weather forecast calls for high winds or storms, the solution is to ski at Les Houches. If the lifts say they'll open at 10 a.m., show up 30 minutes later, by which time the wait will have passed.
For customers with a "Book Early" promotion (EBB), you must redeem your voucher at one of the following kiosks.
If you haven't booked on promotion (and your voucher doesn't say “EBB”), your ski tickets may be given to you when you check in at the hotel. Otherwise, you'll need to exchange your voucher at one of the following kiosks, the day before or the morning of your first day's skiing.
Here is the list of pick-up points where you can collect your tickets:
|
If you have an IKON pass, you'll have direct access to the gondolas and lifts, with no need to go to the ticket office beforehand. How to get on the mountain with your IKON Pass: https://www.ikonpass.com/en/how-to-use-your-ikon-pass |
Please refer to your exchange voucher found in your electronic documents. You will find all necessary information such as shuttle time, pickup locations, etc.
Make sure you have provided, during your reservation, a valid phone number in Europe. In order to organize the transfer service in the best possible way, the drivers will contact you before your departure to introduce themselves and remind you of the transfer information.
For these exchanges, download the free application WhatsApp*.
