Snow Festival Bus Tour

Experience the charm of winter in Hokkaido with a bus tour to Sapporo Snow Festival, one of Japan’s most iconic seasonal events. Marvel at enormous snow and ice creations, wander through sparkling displays, and enjoy free time to soak up the festive atmosphere filled with music, lights and local treats. The tour is available only on February 4, 6, 8, and 10, 2026. Please note that the tour is subject to cancellation and a full refund if the minimum required group size of 12 participants is not reached 10 days prior to the departure date.
Tenguyama ropeway tour

The journey begins with a visit to Nikka Whisky's Yoichi distillery, known for its award-winning single malt whiskies. There, guests can explore original stone buildings and learn about the whisky-making process on a self-guided tour. The journey continues to Tenguyama, offering panoramic views of Otaru, the Sea of Japan, and one of Hokkaido's three major night views, with a Michelin-starred observation deck. Finally, guests can enjoy shopping or strolling in Otaru before returning to the resort.

Disappointed This Time, A Very Different Kiroro Experience
This was not my first stay at Club Med Kiroro Grand, which is why writing this feels a little uncomfortable. I came back with certain expectations, based on previous visits and on what Club Med usually does well. Sadly, this stay fell short in several areas, especially food, service, and the overall guest experience. Food quality and variety were noticeably poorer compared to my last visit. Many items were repeated throughout the week, and meals started to feel predictable quite early on. Apres ski was especially disappointing. The selection barely changed and consisted mainly of tuna sandwiches, ramen, and crepes. After a long day on the slopes, this felt uninspired and honestly a bit lazy. At the buffet, things did not improve much. Ramen appeared at three different stations, which felt excessive, while much of the rest leaned heavily toward processed food. On seafood night, oysters were missing entirely, which was surprising given past experiences. Even dessert was underwhelming. Ice cream was limited to three basic flavours, vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. The ice cream machine has also been reversed and is now managed by a GO, which felt like a downgrade in experience. When we asked about melon and lavender ice cream, we were told they were not in season. Just a few days later, we visited Sahoro and Tomamu and found melon ice cream readily available. That explanation did not quite add up. Service wise, the experience felt distant. Throughout our stay, the CDV did not acknowledge us at all as Platinum guests. We hardly saw him, and there was no engagement. Fortunately, we knew a few Thai GOs from our recent visit to Club Med Phuket, and they joined us for meals and took good care of us. Without them, the stay would have felt even more impersonal. We also heard that GOs are no longer dining with guests due to lack of space. That, to me, is a big miss. The interaction with GOs is what gives Club Med its warmth and sense of community. Taking that away changes the atmosphere completely. Ski lessons were another letdown. I attended Club 3, but the entire morning session involved skiing down the slope only once. Many participants in the class had not yet mastered the basics, which slowed everything down. It made me wonder if classes were being merged or managed differently, perhaps as a cost saving measure. Either way, the quality suffered. Overall, this stay felt very different from what Club Med Kiroro Grand used to offer. Until there is a change in leadership and a clear improvement in food quality, service standards, and guest engagement, I would think twice before returning. It is disappointing, because the resort and the snow deserve better.

Excellent ski resort for a family of 4, first time skiing
We're a family of four with 2 kids, a 12yo and 10yo. Went to Club Med Kiroro Grand in Dec 2025 and we had a blast! We're first time skiers, so lessons were necessary. The first day was a little hectic, where we had to get the ski equipment fitted before putting them into the locker. Thereafter we had to book for our lessons. The 12yo gets to attend lessons with us, while the 10yo attends lessons as part of mini club. We generally have two 2-hour lessons per day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. But you're free to skip if you're tired. We start off as the Beginner level. and along the way we get promoted to the subsequent levels if we've met the relevant proficiency. Ski instructors were great. Very patient and encouraging. Food wise, the main buffet restaurant serves excellent food. They tend to change up the menu here and there everyday except for breakfast. There's a hotpot restaurant which is reservation only, but the food is included in the fare. You only need to pay if you want to top up for other variety. As we attended lessons on most days, we're usually tired/aching at the end of the day. Best way to end the day is to head to the onsen. They have a cold pool, 2 indoor hot springs, a sauna, and an outdoor onsen. There are coin laundries on the 4th and 8th floor as well to wash clothes. There's a machine for you to change coins, as well as a machine to buy detergent and softeners. Just note that sometimes the machine may run out of detergent, and the boutique sells for a higher price. Best to bring some on your own just in case.

Family-oriented skiing resort
Excellent family ski resort with great powder soft snow for skiing and snowboarding. Almost all-inclusive package for the price you pay. Mostly hits, but 2 misses that I encountered: (1) Bedding was somewhat uncomfortable. Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids stayed in a Family Superior Room. One of my kids ended up in a foldable bed with poor back support and padding. The other kid somewhat slept better in the convertible sofa bed. (2) We pre-paid for 2 days of skiing equipment. However, my wife and I hurt ourselves (slipped and fell on icy pavement) prior to our Club Med stay. My young daughter came down with flu and fever. We returned our skiing equipment on Day 1 and requested for possible partial refund for the unused 1 day portion on 13 Dec given our circumstances. We have yet to hear from Club Med at the time of this feedback despite 2 reminder emails. Our experience at Club Med Kiroro Grand would have been almost impeccable if not for these 2 matters.

Amazing Ski Holiday
We are from Malaysia and have twin boys aged 10 . This is our third ClubMed ski holiday in Japan. Twice in Sahoro and now here in Kiroro. We are really enjoying Kiroro. All the GO are super friendly and helpful especially Edmund in F&B and Arda who took us for snow trekking. Our boys love the skiing and have progressed to Trident Bronze . The food is definitely the best ClubMed that we have experienced… really good ! Over all we strongly recommend Kiroro 👍❤️
